Tate's Preschool Graduation

It is so funny to go to all of these preschool graduations. I love all the funny things the little kids do. And I think it is hilarious to see them in their little caps and gowns with all the parents with their video cameras and high-tech cameras. We are completely guilty of this description. How did this happen! I don't think I ever "graduated" from preschool...what a silly time we live in!

Anyway, Tate got to hold the flag and be the farmer in his preschool graduation. He did very well, but didn't know very many songs. It was so fun to watch how much he has progressed this last year. He is extremely head strong and refuses many activities at preschool. We had to do some major coaxing to get him to wear his cap and gown, but he did it! Grandma made candy necklaces for each of the preschool grads this year! It was cute and they loved it!

Ellie's Preschool Graduation

***We are so behind on blogging because our computer's operating system was corrupted and we had to wipe the hard drive and reload everything which took us a while with all the chaos at our house. So we're trying to catch up on past events!

Ellie's preschool graduation was so cute! It was an evening program on May 13th held at the A.F. high school auditorium. I think it was her first experience with nerves. She was "so scared to talk in the microphone, but then she got brave!" She spoke so loud and clear and sang all the songs. We were so proud of her! These are all the little friends from the neighborhood that she has gone to school with the last 2 years. (Devon, Abby & Reagan)

Tate's 4th B-Day!

Tate had a fun superhero party with all of his neighborhood buddies. He kept changing his favorite theme by the minute so we just went with a Superman, Spiderman, Batman, Power Ranger, Transformer Party! Grandma helped by making the party favors, Superhero capes, and Jodi came along to lend an extra hand with the new baby and the camera. They had a great time stuffing muscles in their shirts, throwing "hot lava" balls at each other and a stuffed Darth Vader. Their favorite was the Cake Hunt. Riddler from Batman stole the cake and we had to find where he hid it with clues. We ended the night with dinner, leftover cake & cousins (Doug & Em, Josh & Bam) to enjoy it with.

By the way, it was Tim's 36th B-day on May 3rd:) What an old dad of 4 kids! We escaped to Goodwood BBQ for dinner and played Pit, a card game, with Lance & Jill and Bam & Josh afterwards. It was much better than singing a lipsync in the ward talent show! (The plan for the rest of the ward that night)

Aunt Jodi, the Blanket-Maker!

We are so lucky to have Aunt Jodi! Jodi just graduated in nursing and is planning to be an EFY counselor this summer so she has been taking a temporary time-out from mandatory responsibility. She has been busy helping everyone in the family with various things, including making many baby blankets & matching burp rags for Baby Drew. We said good-bye to many of our old baby blankets because they were in shreads or were not so cute anymore. We are so excited to start fresh with some new baby blankets. Thanks Jodi! (and Mom for all the extra support!)

(Saying good-bye to the old blanket that they loved to death!)
