We enjoyed a day at Seven Peaks. It was awesome! We asked Tim's sister, Bam, to watch Drew. My sister, Lish, came with us as well as Tim taking the day off work. The ratio of kids to adults was awesome...3 to 3! It's all about the ratio, folks! We then enjoyed the evening with neighbors and Doug & the kids. We had some good ole' KFC, a children's parade of bikes, scooter, wagons, strollers, etc. and then shot off fireworks. They were so pyro-struck that they even burned the garbage! I remembered the night for a good week or so after enjoying dinner sitting on top of an anthill!!! Ants in your pants do make you do the boogie dance!

Drew's Baby Blessing
On July 6th, Tim gave Drew James his baby blessing. Tim was out of town during June so we had to wait a little longer than usual. Little Drew was an angel all day, as usual! He slept for quite a while and was awakened with a startle from the cousins. Other than that, he was so happy and content. We were so blessed to have so much family support. Thank you to those who made the trip! We missed those that were too far to attend (Grandma & Grandpa in Norway, Ben & Tanelle in Grenada, Jodi at EFY somewhere in the country, Jeff & Jamie in Boise and Bam & Josh on vacation in Hawaii!) We missed Great-Grandma Smith as well. We hope she feels better. We love you all and felt your support in spirit! We hope that the slideshow of pictures will help capture the experience.

4th of July Fun!
We went to Kaysville for the 4th as usual. The Kaysville Parade is the only parade we attend. It is huge and at the end, there is a city wide water fight where all who would like to participate get soaked with fire hoses, water guns, etc. It is a riot to watch! We then went to Grandma's for a BBQ. Mike & Mindi's crew joined us this year which was a lot of fun. Mike is my cousin and he married my college roommate. They just moved back to Utah last summer from medical school and residency. We went to see the new house they are building in South Weber after the BBQ. Then, as usual, we enjoyed the fireworks(from the high school) on Tres & Elizabeth's front lawn. Since Elizabeth and I share a birthday on July 3rd, we enjoyed homemade ice cream and brownies afterwards. We all had lots of fun!

Bear Lake or Bust!
Tim had to go to New Jersey for some training during the 1st week in June and I decided to go to the family cabin at Bear Lake with the kids! Mom came with us. We stopped to see Beaner's new place in River Heights on the way. It was not very warm up there with the crazy weather we've had, but it was somewhat relaxing. One week before we went, they had 1 foot of snow on the shore. Ellie & Tate decided it was warm enough to wade in on the first day, but didn't do it again after that. It was too cold! I think I was just getting stir crazy and looking for a change of pace for a few days. It was nice.
We came back to Bear Lake with a bunch of friends during the 1st week in July (June 29th-July 2nd). It was much warmer and much more eventful with the friends. It is a lot more squishy sharing 1 bathroom with 30+ people, but that just makes for good stories! We camped on the lawn and used the cabin as a lodge. We boated, played in the sand and ate lots of great food! I even got an early birthday celebration with home-made cake and ice cream. It was delicious and very sweet! We had a great time with our friends as we do every year for the last 3 years. We try to take more pictures each year because we can't ever capture just how much fun it is!
